Specific Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the safe, reliable and cost effective operation of two Voith Crescent Former tissue machines producing 70,000 tons/year from recycled office waste.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The candidate would be responsible for carrying out all necessary facilities engineering design functions required for concept development, FEED, and detail engineering to design and/or specify concepts, facilities, process equipment and systems for upstream oil and gas production development.

Mechanical Engineering Manager

The Mechanical Engineering Manager reports directly to the Director and leads the mechanical engineering staff in the design, development, and support of projects and products development.
The Mechanical Engineering Manager is directly responsible for the definition, adherence to, and improvement of all mechanical engineering processes as well as the direct supervision of the mechanical technical staff.

Other responsibilities include:

This position requires a significant amount of interpersonal interaction with the entire engineering staff.
Must possess the leadership skills and capability to understand program requirements, to identify staff and engineering process strengths/weaknesses, to develop and effectively implement improvement programs for both staff and engineering processes, and to assure a high degree of customer (both internal and external) satisfaction.

Requirements

The Mechanical Engineering Manager must have a strong background in integrated (electrical, mechanical, controls, etc) products and systems as well as significant exposure to the varied (and sometimes conflicting) requirements of flexible R&D project engineering and the more disciplined product development/support engineering.
Demonstrated team leadership and the ability to function in a fluid engineering environment where good judgment and impeccable adherence to standards are critical to the success of the engineering process.

Essential Job Functions:

The essential duties and responsibilities regularly assigned to this position include:

Work with Section Manager and Lead Engineer for following items which are related to civil structures, such as buildings, tunnels and site preparation works (and possibly components, such as heavy components including reactor vessel, steam generator and pressurize) for Advanced Pressurized Water Reactor (APWR).
The activities for APWR cover licensing supports, engineering, procurement and construction.

Development of specifications.
Development of design/assessment documents and licensing documents including licensing application.
Site-specific engineering design/assessment for US-APWR.
Technical review of design documents and licensing documents, including those developed by contractors.
Technical response to questions posed by the NRC for the APWR DCD and COLA.
Preparation of presentation materials and providing presentations to regulations, nuclear related organizations (such as NEI, EPRI, INPO, ANS and ASME) or customers.
Technical support for sales promotion activities in the US for MHI's nuclear business including response to questions from potential customers and assisting business presentations.
Attending regulatory and industry meetings, including those organized by NEI, EPRI, INPO, ANS and ASME.
Interfaces within the engineering Sections, and with MHI and subcontractors for APWR.
Other activities identified by Section Manager / Lead Engineer.

Minimum Requirements (Education & Experience):

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Science or equivalent
Minimum of five years experience of dealing with technical aspects of nuclear engineering
Demonstrated skills in written and oral communications
Working knowledge/familiarity with PWR plant design, and design related codesand standards
Knowledge/familiarity with NRC regulations, guidance, and Standard Review Plan
Working knowledge of PWR civil structure design, seismic and FEM stress analysis and ANSI, ASME, AISC, ASTM and ASCE codes
Knowledge/familiarity of quality assurance for nuclear plant, including 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 52 and ASME NQA–1
Professional Engineer License (Civil and/or Mechanical engineering) in the State of Virginia (and Texas).

Requirements:

BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Advanced degree a plus
Minimum of 12 years of experience in building analytical or diagnostic instruments; experience in a ISO regulated environment is highly desirable
Significant experience in a Biotech, Medical Device or Diagnostics start-up environment is preferred
Previous significant experience of direct supervision, at the Sr. Director or VP-level, of production and engineering staff
Good planning, analytical, problem solving and team building skills are a must
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must be flexible; capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the engineering processes of new product development, engineering design phases, engineering documentation and configuration control, the transition from engineering to production, and production support

Solar Project Engineering Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Ensures on-time completion of all project engineering accountabilities including but not limited to operating performance in reliability/availability, efficiency (Heat Rate), Output, Ramp. Rates, SU/SD time, O&M cost, fuel, water, major maintenance, capital cost and construction schedule

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in engineering and eight (8) years of experience in design and project engineering in power generation or related field or demonstrable equivalent
Experience in Concentrated Solar Power desirable
Ability to travel and spend extended periods of time
Experience in contract administration, power plant operations and project execution
Strong Interpersonal Skills
Leadership Skills - proven track record in leading a project engineering team
Demonstrated commercial skills based on successful negotiations of engineering and construction contracts
Experience in the Engineering and Construction fields
